It not only allows them to ride faster in top gear but the lower gear also makes getting started a cinch. The internally geared hub automatically switches gears at roughly 7 mph without any manual shifting necessary… it’s automagic!

Two-Speed Internally Geared Hub

The Sturmey Archer hub automatically changes from low to high gear at approximately 7 mph, providing your Rider the chance to go a bit faster and crank a bit harder when they’re on a flat or downhill stretch. On the flip side, the low gear ensures your child has an easier time getting started from a stop. There's no need for your child to deal with complex gear changes when riding, and you won't have to worry about the virtually maintenance-free. It's a win/win!

Optimized Gear Ratio

Put simply, gearing refers to how hard your child has to pedal. As this is a two-speed bike, we've been able to design the woom 3 AUTOMAGIC so that the resistance in the first gear is ideal for the first few pedal strokes after being stationary. Once the Rider is up to speed, the second gear will kick in and increase the pedal resistance and supply more oomph per pedal!

Lightweight Aluminum Frame

Geometrically designed for kids four and up and forged of sturdy superlight aluminum, the frame is the heart of the bike. By providing a low entry point and enabling young Riders to easily hop on, the woom 3 AUTOMAGIC ensures a fun, safe riding experience for kids. 

Innovative Braking System

Learning how to operate hand brakes early prepares young Riders for their future two-wheeled experiences. Color-coordinated brakes empower kids to learn which lever engages which brake. The most exciting feature of the woom 3 AUTOMAGIC braking system is the adjustable brake lever. Use the reach adjustment knob to fit the brake lever to your little one’s hands perfectly!

Honed Stem and Handlebar

The woom stem is the safe and lightweight connection between the woom 3 AUTOMAGIC high-rise handlebars and the rest of the bike. The lack of protruding bolts and sharp angles guarantees a smooth and safe riding experience. High-rise handlebars promote a stable, upright riding position which allows for easier balancing due to more control and comfort.
